National Capital Greenbelt – Trail # 2

It was warm & humid today, we didn’t go out until 1 pm which meant it was even more so!  It sprinkled for our first few steps, but was dry and warm the rest of the way.  This trail is in two loops.  We did the small loop first, then headed across for the second one…we took the wrong path though and went an extra km or so…we figure our total walk today was around 5 km.  Trilliums, cocoons, caterpillars, a really pretty bird with red back and black wings (couldn’t get a closeup), lilacs & other flowering bushes.  Nature at it’s best!
