On the move!
The condo sale market in Ottawa has been pretty slow for the last couple of years. We listed our condo in May 2014 – and it had a sale in October 2014, then it fell through. Took it off the market and put it back up in May 2015 – by mid October it hadn’t sold so we decided to take it off the market for the winter again. Lo & behold the week before it was about to expire we got an offer and the sale firmed up this past week with a completion date of November 26th. We had to scramble to find a place to lease. November was already going to be a busy month for us with a trip to Toronto for a 30 year reunion November 21/22 and Johnny heading to Japan on business a few days later. So….we are moving this week – November 12th – with about 10 days from finding out we were moving for certain to move date *sigh*. We are doing great though, most of the packing is done and today we are starting to move a few things into the locker in the new unit. We can’t start putting things in the actual condo until Tuesday and the movers are scheduled to arrive at 8:15 on Thursday morning.
The exciting thing here is we have decided to move right downtown to the Byward Market (Lowertown) area! Our new digs are at the corner of George & Cumberland in the Eastmarket Phase III. 10th floor with south/west views and a huge balcony to enjoy them on!
Catch you again on the other side of the move!
